Linden works best indoors — near a window or under cool, even light. Warm bedside lamps and dim rooms make the pulse signal harder to read.

Prop your phone against something at face level and stay relaxed for the full thirty seconds.

Common questions

Do I need an Apple Watch or any wearable?

No. Linden reads your resting heart rate from a 30-second scan with your phone’s front camera. There is nothing to strap on, charge, or pair — this is the app for people who have nothing, not people upgrading from a watch.

How do I get a good reading?

Light matters most — work indoors near a window or under cool, even light. Hold still, prop your phone at face level, and keep about an arm’s length away with your face filling the oval. If a scan reads poorly, Linden tells you what to adjust and does not save it, so your streak and baseline are unaffected.

Is my data private?

Yes. The video of your face is processed on your phone and then deleted — it never leaves your device. Linden has no account system, and we never sell your data. Full details are in our privacy policy.

Is Linden a medical device?

No. Linden is a general wellness app. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for advice from a clinician. It gives you one observation, never a verdict. If you feel unwell, talk to a medical professional.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Linden Plus is an optional subscription billed through your Apple Account. To view, change, or cancel it, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Linden. Cancelling keeps everything you have already recorded — it only pauses the Plus features.

How do I delete my data?

Everything Linden stores lives on your phone. To remove all of it, delete the app — iOS clears the local storage when you uninstall.

Is there an Android version?

Linden is on iOS today. Android is coming soon.
