What Linden is, and is not
Linden is a general wellness app. It estimates your resting heart rate from a short front-camera face scan and offers observations to help you notice patterns over time. Linden is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Its readings are one observation, never a verdict. If you feel unwell, talk to a qualified medical professional.
Using the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Linden on devices you own or control, for your own wellness. You agree not to misuse the app — for example, by reverse-engineering it, interfering with its operation, or using it in a way that breaks the law or these terms. Linden has no accounts and no sign-in; your data lives on your phone, as described in our privacy policy.
Linden Plus subscription
Linden Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription. New subscribers get one free 30-day trial per Apple ID. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase — after the trial, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings. The free tier — one scan per day with your full history — stays free.
Purchases, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple under your Apple Account, not by Linden. Refund requests are subject to Apple's policies.
Apple's standard license
Because Linden is distributed through the App Store, your use of the app is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. Where these terms and the standard EULA both apply, the more protective terms for you as the user govern.
Your content and exports
Linden does not host or collect your readings — they stay on your device. If you choose to export and share a file (such as a doctor-ready PDF or raw capture data), you are responsible for where you send it. Once shared, what happens to that file is governed by the service you used to share it, not by Linden.
No warranty
Linden is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Readings are estimates and can be affected by lighting, movement, and other conditions. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate for any particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Linden and the Linden Team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on a reading or observation in place of professional medical advice.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a substantive change, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where reasonable, note the change in the app. Continuing to use Linden after a change means you accept the updated terms.
